WELCOME TO LIVING OFF THE GRID
The Archimedes BV was started in mid 2006 and was founded by Messrs. M. Mieremet MsC and R. Ruijtenbeek bbe for the development of a new innovative urban wind turbine.
The turbine is based on Biomimicry from the cephalopod family Nautilidae. This is an animal who lives in the sea. Nautilus means Sailor in Greek.
Mid-2013 the Liam self-starting urban wind turbines measuring 1.25 meters in length x 1.25 meters in width x 1.50 meters in height will be available to order through our distributors. Recently we have begun realization of another invention of ours, The Archimedes water turbine.

We belief that all who take the time to visit our website prefer to read about our turbines from an engineering point of view, rather than from the sales department’s viewpoint or the view of a for-hire marketing and public relations firm.
